Terms of use
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Rankibl Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11606978), 13 White Lion Park, Malmesbury, SN16 0QW, UK (“we”, “us”) about using Two Front Doors, our website, web app and phone apps. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data. Please read it too.
1. What Two Front Doors is
It is a shared calendar for parents who live apart. It helps you and the other parent see the same plans for your children, and keeps your own events private.
- It is not legal advice, and using it doesn’t create a legal parenting agreement or court order. Arrangements you record in the app are a convenience between you and the other parent.
- It is not an emergency service. Reminders and notifications can be late or fail to arrive, and we can’t promise otherwise. Don’t rely on the app for anything urgent or safety-critical.
- It is not a medical record, and it doesn’t hold children’s health details. Always check with the other parent or the child’s doctor when it matters.
- It is not designed as a record for court. Don’t rely on it as evidence.
- The nights count and other totals are worked out from what parents have entered in the app. They are not a legal record, evidence or advice.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over. Two Front Doors is for people who live in the UK or the US.
- Give us accurate details, and keep your sign-in secure. One person, one account. Don’t share your login.
- Tell us at hello@twofrontdoors.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
3. Your family calendar and helpers
- A family calendar has two parents. Both parents can see and change the shared calendar. Neither parent can approve their own request to change parenting time, and silence never counts as a yes.
- You decide who to invite. A helper you invite can see the shared calendar, or add to it if you give them editing rights. You can remove a helper at any time.
- You are responsible for what you put in the shared calendar, and for checking that you are happy for the other parent and any helpers to see it. Use “only me” for anything else.
- Only enter information about your children that you are entitled to share with the other parent. Please don’t add children’s allergies, medicines or medical details anywhere in the app. Use children’s initials, not their names, in anything you type.
- Only link a school, club or team calendar that you are allowed to read. Keep your private calendar link to yourself: anyone who has it can read the plans it carries.
4. What you put in
Your events and other content remain yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you choose, and to do the things needed to run the service, such as sending the reminders you ask for. We don’t use your content for adverts, and we don’t sell it.
5. Using the service properly
Please don’t:
- use Two Front Doors to harass, threaten, monitor, control or track another person;
- add another person to a family calendar, or invite helpers, without their agreement;
- put unlawful, abusive or harmful content into the service;
- try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or to interfere with the service or its security;
- use the service to build a competing product or copy it automatically at scale.
If you see misuse, or you are worried about your safety, use “Report” in the app or email hello@twofrontdoors.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will explain why where we can. If you are in danger, call 999.
6. Google
Connecting your Google Calendar is optional. When you do, Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to your Google account. What we do with Google data is set out in the privacy policy, and follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time.
7. Paid plans
Two Front Doors is paid for with a family subscription. You can buy it in the phone app through the App Store or Google Play, or in the web app at app.twofrontdoors.com, where the payment is taken by Stripe for us. Before you subscribe, the app shows you each plan’s price, how often it renews and how to cancel.
- Free trial. A new subscription starts with a one-month free trial if you haven’t had a subscription or trial with us before (on the App Store or Google Play, if Apple or Google says your store account can have one). If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, you are charged the price shown when you subscribed at the end of the trial, and then at the start of each period.
- Renewing and cancelling. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. If you bought it on a phone, cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; on the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge. If you bought it on the web, cancel from “Manage” on the Subscription screen in the web app, or from the link in your receipt email. After cancelling, you keep the subscription until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your Two Front Doors account doesn’t cancel it.
- Your right to cancel a web purchase within 14 days. On the web, Rankibl Ltd is the seller. If you subscribe on the web, you can change your mind within 14 days of subscribing, including during the free trial, by emailing hello@twofrontdoors.com or using “Manage”. If you were charged, we refund you in full within 14 days, to the card you paid with. We also refund the first payment after a free trial if you ask within 14 days of being charged.
- Payment and refunds on phones. On a phone, Apple or Google sells you the subscription and takes the payment. Their rules decide refunds and the right to cancel, and you ask them, not us. We never see your card details.
- Price changes. If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next payment at the new price, and you can cancel before then. Apple and Google may also ask you to agree to a higher price.
- One subscription covers the family. A parent’s subscription covers every family calendar where they are a parent, wherever they bought it, so the other parent and helpers don’t pay again. The other parent sees that the family is covered and, if your subscription won’t renew, until what date (“Covered until” and the date), but not your plan, price or payment details. Paying gives neither parent extra rights over the family calendar.
- If nobody covers the family. Adding and changing plans is paused for everyone in the family in the same way. You can still read and export the calendar and answer the other parent’s requests, and the pause deletes nothing.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. In short: the service must be provided with reasonable care and skill, and the app must be as described and fit for purpose. If it isn’t, tell us and we will try to put it right, or refund you for the part that wasn’t. Citizens Advice can explain your rights.
8. Free use
Some of Two Front Doors is free:
- a personal calendar of your own, with your Google calendars, without a subscription;
- if you are invited to a family calendar that a parent’s subscription covers, as the other parent or as a helper, you never pay to use it.
We may change what is free, for example by moving a feature into the subscription. We will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before a change to free features takes effect. If a change means you would lose something, you can export your calendar before it happens.
If you don’t use your account for 12 months, and no subscription that is still running covers you (yours, or the other parent’s for your family calendar), we close your account and delete it, as if you had deleted it yourself. Using your account means signing in, or opening the app or web app while signed in. We will email you at least 30 days before we do, and using your account in that time keeps it open. The privacy policy sets out what we delete.
9. The service may change
We work to keep Two Front Doors available, but we don’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change would take away something significant that you pay for, we will tell you before it happens, and you can cancel. If you bought on the web, we will refund the part of the period you have paid for and not used.
10. Ending things
You can stop using the service, or delete your account in the app’s Settings (or ask us to), at any time. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data. We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to stop running the service. Unless you have seriously broken these terms or the law, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your calendar, and if you bought on the web we will refund the part of the period you have paid for and not used.
11. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses: Two Front Doors is for personal and family use.
Please check handover dates and times with the other parent. We are not responsible for loss caused by dates or times that someone entered wrongly, or that Google or another calendar service delayed or changed, unless our own lack of reasonable care caused it.
Our total liability to you for any other loss is limited to the greater of what you paid for Two Front Doors in the 12 months before your claim and £100.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breaking your legal rights as a consumer, for breaking data protection law, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect a change in the law or in the service. We will change the date at the top. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they apply to you. If you don’t agree, you can stop using the service and cancel before then.
13. App stores
If you got the app from the App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the app, its support and any claims about it. Apple’s standard licence terms for apps (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) also apply to the iPhone app, and Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce those terms. The store’s own terms apply to how you buy and download the app.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of the consumer law that applies there. If you live outside the UK, you keep any consumer protection that the law where you live gives you and that can’t be changed by agreement.
If you have a complaint, email hello@twofrontdoors.com first and we will do our best to sort it out. We will acknowledge it within 30 days.
15. If you live in the US
This section applies if you live in the United States. Where it differs from the rest of these terms, this section applies to you.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, and you are charged each time until you cancel. A free trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. We show you these terms before you subscribe. After you subscribe, we email you a confirmation, and for a yearly plan a reminder about 30 days before each renewal.
- Cancelling online. You can cancel online at any time, without calling anyone. If you bought on the web, use “Manage” on the Subscription screen in the web app, sign in to Link at app.link.com with the email you used at checkout, or email us at hello@twofrontdoors.com. If you bought on a phone, cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next charge, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Sales tax. Prices in US dollars don’t include sales tax. Any sales tax is added at checkout, based on where you live, and shown before you pay.
- No arbitration. These terms have no arbitration agreement and no class action waiver. Section 14 doesn’t stop you bringing a claim in a court where you live, including a small claims court, where the law allows it.
- California users. Two Front Doors is provided by Rankibl Ltd, 13 White Lion Park, Malmesbury, SN16 0QW, United Kingdom, hello@twofrontdoors.com. Prices are shown before you subscribe. Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users are entitled to the following consumer rights notice: the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
