Privacy and safety
Shared where it helps. Private everywhere else.
Two Front Doors is built for parents who live apart and may not always agree. Here’s what each person can see, and what happens in the situations parents ask us about most.
Common worries
Three questions parents ask first
What if my ex tries to see my calendar?
The app never shows them your private events or Google calendar. The only way they’d see them is by getting into your account or your phone. Your Only me events and your Google events are kept apart from the family calendar. They don’t appear in the other parent’s view, in search, in exports or in notifications. Use a passcode on your phone, and sign out of any device you share.
- They see shared family events and parenting time
- The app never shows them your personal events or Google calendars
- The app doesn’t show them which calendars you connect
What if I lose my phone?
Your calendar isn’t kept only on your phone. Sign in on a new phone with a code sent to your email, with Google, or with Apple on an iPhone, and everything is there. If you think someone else has got into your account, email hello@twofrontdoors.com and we’ll help.
- Sign in again with an email code, Google or Apple
- Nothing is lost with the phone
What if I want to leave?
You can leave one family calendar, or delete your account completely, from Settings. Download a copy of your calendar first if you want one.
- Leave a family calendar at any time
- Delete your account yourself, straight away
- Shared plans stay for the other parent as “Former member”

Reporting misuse
You can report a family member or an invitation link from inside the app. Only you can read your report. The person you report is never told, and nothing happens to their account automatically. A person at Two Front Doors reads every report.
You can also email hello@twofrontdoors.com. Please don’t include event details or your children’s information unless we ask.
If you or your children are in danger, call the emergency services: 999 in the UK, 911 in the US.
Deleting your account
Open Settings, choose Delete my account and confirm. It happens straight away. We delete your private events, the copies of your Google events, your settings and your sign-in, and we cancel our access at Google.
What you added to a shared family calendar stays there without your name, shown as “Former member”, so the other parent keeps their history. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription bought through an app store, so cancel that first.
Export first if you want a copy
